Nostalgia Fuels

One thing that sticks out in this campaign to me is how Ford and music have been interwoven into ERNEST’s life and how they fuel his passions. ERNEST has been interested in music from the beginning of his life. He has memories that span across his lifetime bringing him back to music. Like at four playing his grandmother’s organ after church or in high school writing lyrics for a new song. Nostalgia has a place in his music, but it has a place in other areas of his life too.

Ford also tugs at memories for him. His first truck was a Ford F-150 that his grandfather “sold” him for his 16th birthday (learn more about the transaction in our campaign video👀). That truck created unforgettable memories for ERNEST until he was 22. Both Ford and music have trustworthy campanions for ERNEST throughout his life.

ERNEST loves his Ford F-150, even more, when it’s all cleaned up and looking nice! While they have been reliable for generations, they have been improving for generations. One thing I loved about this campaign is how intertwined Ford truly is with ERNEST’s life. It is so important to us at MAX to make sure that the artist and the brand are the perfect fit, making sure both sides feel confident in what they are putting forward. I truly believe that this campaign checks all of the boxes. The campaign’s backing song is “Summertime Flies” by ERNEST, a song he wrote with that feeling of being with friends and family and creating core summer memories in mind. Ernest Keith Smith, professionally known as ERNEST, is an American country singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. ERNEST is honored as one of Variety’s coveted 2022 Hitmakers, the 2X CMA Triple Play Award winner, selected as a 2023 MusicRow Next Big Thing artist, Spotify Hot Country Artist to Watch, and 2023 Opry NextStage class member.
