Eslabon Armado and Dr Pepper are working together to give you a chance to win a VIP experience and see their studio, all while sipping on a Dr Pepper.
I am a big fan of all types of music, so it wasn't a big surprise to me to find Eslabon Armado's discography in my "liked" songs. It is also not surprising that they have as many fans as they do. Their music speaks to all different types of people, and there is something for everyone. That's why they make such a great pair with Dr Pepper, not only are they long-term fans of the drink, they all enjoy different flavors. What’s not to love? Eslabon Armado have broken barriers over and over again, winning awards from HEAT Latin Music Awards, Latin Grammys, and Billboard most notably. Their song Ella Baila Sola, which is featured in the campaign, was the first Regional Mexican song to enter top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100. Their steadfast and continuous success speak to the band's ability to create catchy music for all.
My favorite part about covering these campaign launches is being able to dive deeper into an artist or band's discography. While the group makes regional Mexican music, the Tovar brothers trained in sierreño and norteño, subgenres of regional Mexican music. Both of these styles are mixed into Eslabon Armado's music, which is why they have found such great success. They are leading the way of bringing regional Mexican music mainstream. One song that I found while writing is Con Tus Besos, a gorgeous love song, with a great bass guitar intro that carries throughout the song. Another is the classic Jugaste Y Sufrí, which has been on my playlist since 2021, and should be on yours. Safe to say, I am going to be a longtime fan. 🕺
Dr Pepper has a cult following, and for good reason. They are the marker of a great event, whether that’s a family cookout, birthday party, or after concert thirst quencher. 23 flavors make for a more dynamic taste that always satisfies, and there is a flavor for everyone. Whether you prefer more traditional flavors, or like to switch it up, this all can be found in a can of Dr Pepper. While I am a big fan of the original Dr Pepper flavor, Cherry Dr Pepper will always hit the spot. I have yet to try the Strawberries and Cream but, those who like it really like it. That says something. They even have options for those who are sugar free or get a little too much of a kick from caffeine (caffeine free). Whoever you are, wherever you are, the crack of a Dr Pepper can is widely known and enjoyed.
This is the second time that Eslabon Armado and Dr Pepper are working together. It is a great campaign combo, so you know we had to double it. The reason it has and will continue to do well is because of the omni-channel approach and authenticity. Meaning, we have created a campaign that can really reach customers no matter where they are in a compelling way. There are social videos, grocery store audio spots, and point of sale digital signage, which all together create a consistent and coherent campaign. Channeling that Ethos, Pathos, and Logos vibe. While Eslabon Armado's audience skews Hispanic, they have broken down so many cross-cultural barriers to engage broader audiences. Something super unique about this campaign is the VIP sweepstakes. It includes not only a VIP meet & greet at a concert, but fans also get a chance to be in their actual recording studio. Isn't that insane!? It kinda blows my mind. Imagine getting to see the creative process behind your favorite band working on a new song. Chance of a lifetime!
Eslabon Armado is a group from California that plays Regional Mexican music. They have numerous nominations and awards from the American and Latin Music Awards, iHeart Radio, Billboard, and Latin Billboard. Their 2023 album, Desvelado, is their highest charting album for the group, topping at Number 6 on the US and Number 1 on the US Latin Billboard charts. Their song “Ella Baila Sola,” from the Desvelado album, landed at Number 1 on the year-end Hot Latin Songs chart, was used in over 5 million TikTok videos, and received a RIAA Multi-Platinum® Certification. Eslabon Armado is extremely popular, with over 2 billion views on YouTube and over 21 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
