Knox Hamilton: The Boots. The Talent. The Hair.

Knox Hamilton: The Boots. The Talent. The Hair.

Fresh off the release of their new single, 'Trade My Trips,' we’re excited to host Knox Hamilton, an indie dance rock band from Little Rock, Arkansas, at Music Audience Exchange (MAX) for our monthly “On The Record” series.

I first heard about Knox Hamilton when Spotify served up one of their earlier songs, Work it Out, on my Discover Weekly playlist last year. Their solid beats, fun vibe, sweet synth, and a falsetto that’s smooth as silk, not to mention that killer glockenspiel work, earned them a spot on my Discover 2017 playlist — making them a regular part of game nights, dinner with friends, and dance parties in the kitchen with my Blue Apron.

These Southern boys may have boots - but they're not your typical cowboy boots. The two brothers, Boots and Cobo Copeland, formed Knox Hamilton in 2010 along with long-time friend Drew Buffington. They issued their music independently before signing a deal with Prospect Park in 2014.

Their rise into the indie pop world began when their single, ‘Work It Out’, was featured on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation. Knox Hamilton issued 'Washed Up Together' prior to the release of their full-length debut album, The Heights, which dropped in early 2017. They caught the attention of Billboard with their anxiety-inducing music video of ‘Washed Up Together,’ featuring the band members and other friends being vacuumed sealed in plastic.

We can’t wait to have these Arkansas boys on stage at the MAX HQ for On The Record and hear how the legend of Knox Hamilton was born!
