Music is both culturally reflective and culturally unifying, providing the perfect platform for McDonald’s to speak to multicultural young adults and authentically connect with local communities. Partnering with MAX helps McDonald’s celebrate the rich tapestry of the diverse communities served by the brand by identifying and amplifying culturally relevant artists.
MAX identified Lupita Infante as an ideal partner to help McDonald’s authentically connect with Hispanic Gen Z audiences in select markets. In addition to having an audience that mirrors this campaign’s target, Lupita Infante also has strong ties to the Bay Area and genuine affinity for McDonald’s. This campaign is centered around music, culture, and engagement with the goal of driving awareness and engagement for McDonald’s Spicy Chicken McNuggets and the McDonald’s MyRewards ordering app.
The campaign utilizes social media posts featuring Lupita Infante, McDonald's, and Spicy Chicken McNuggets to engage target audiences and promote downloads of the McDonald's MyRewards ordering app. Captivating social videos feature Lupita Infante talking about her favorite McDonald’s food and inviting fans to share their own favorite McDonald’s orders.
McDonald’s will also engage Lupita Infante fans at a live concert, incorporating a SET.Live activation into the campaign. Fans who use SET.Live to “check in” at the show will get the chance to win exclusive Lupita Infante merch, McDonald’s prizes, and more.
MAX negotiated song licensing with Lupita Infante and we were able to use her song “Serenata” to enhance the creative assets for this campaign.
GRAMMY-nominated Lupita Infante, a powerful voice in traditional Mariachi, Norteño, and Ranchera music, comes from the renowned Infante family of Mexican artists. An accomplished songwriter and UCLA ethnomusicology graduate, she has garnered critical acclaim and significant nominations for her culturally rich albums.
