DALLAS - August 4, 2020 - Music Audience Exchange (MAX) and U.S. Cellular, recently announced a campaign with platinum-selling country music artist Lauren Alaina. The campaign engages fans at home with original content featuring Lauren's single, "Getting Good," and highlights the importance of staying connected and supporting the community and fans during these uncertain times.
The campaign kicked off on Wednesday, July 8 with teaser social posts from U.S. Cellular inviting customers and Lauren's fans to join her on the official U.S. Cellular Instagram account for a full takeover and a live "Ask Me Anything," which took place on Thursday, July 9.
With the help of MAX, U.S. Cellular is creating an engaging experience at home and giving fans a chance to win a virtual meet-and-greet with Lauren Alaina. The promotional campaign featuring Lauren and her song, “Getting Good,” will run through August 30 across a mix of media channels throughout the U.S.
The campaign will culminate with a virtual livestream concert on September 10 at 8 p.m. CDT. U.S. Cellular customers can enter for a chance to win an exclusive virtual meet & greet with Lauren Alaina from now until August 30, and can vote on which songs they want her to play during the livestream at https://uscellularconnects.com/lauren-alaina/.
“I’m really thankful to work with U.S. Cellular because their mission is fairness and loving and supporting people, and that's literally my whole mission as an artist,” said Lauren.
U.S. Cellular puts people first by connecting customers to who and what is most important in their lives. “I've always kind of relied on my phone to write, but I'm really relying on it now because I'm video chatting with other songwriters because we can't be in a room together,” said Lauren.
The program is part of U.S. Cellular's commitment to supporting its communities and providing unique experiences for its customers, as evidenced by its longtime relationship with Summerfest in Milwaukee and MAX programs with Cole Swindell, High Valley, and Dustin Lynch.
“U.S. Cellular believes in the connecting power of music,” said Michael Behee, sponsorship manager at U.S. Cellular. “We have sponsored and supported music festivals for several years and this summer we really wanted to engage music fans at home. We’re grateful for our ongoing relationship with MAX and their ability to create content and unforgettable fan experiences, despite production challenges marketers are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
"It was important to U.S. Cellular to reach audiences at home, while continuing to collaborate with artists,” said MAX chief revenue officer, Michael Provus. "Last year we focused on amplifying U.S. Cellular’s music festival sponsorships by teaming up with Dustin Lynch, but this year it was all about bringing that experience home to the fans.”
