Richard Marx joins the AARP concert series, sharing information about the connection between music and brain health.

The Campaign:

Through its ongoing concert series, AARP reaches diverse segments of people who are getting close to the age of AARP eligibility and will benefit from early adoption of brain health habits. AARP uses these concerts to teach people about the scientific connection the organization found between music and brain health.

From AARP: Staying Sharp’s Guide to Music and Brain Health gives you a deep dive into the long-lasting effects of music on your brain. Explore how music and memory are intrinsically tied together. Understand new ways to experience music, and delve into some genres that may be new to you. Hear from top scientists on how music can flex different areas of the brain. This comprehensive guide provides fascinating and fun insights into the world of music.

Richard Marx is a singer, songwriter, and producer whose career has spanned more than three decades. He has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, received a Grammy Award for Song of the Year for his song “Dance With My Father,” and has a total of 14 #1 singles, both as a performer and songwriter/producer.

In addition to being a musician, Richard is a committed philanthropist, supporting charitable causes like the American Cancer Society and the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Mercy For Animals, ASPCA, Humane Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the charity closest to Richard’s heart, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, for which his produced events have raised more than $4 million for research.
